Professional Experience

John Turgeon has 25 years of professional experience concentrating in the areas of human resource management, operations, and recruitment. John devotes a significant portion of his time to assisting with the management of the Firm as well as the recruitment and professional development of its staff. Additionally, as leader of the Firm’s Human Resources Consulting Group, he provides services to clients in a variety of areas, including leadership retreat facilitation, executive coaching, professional recruitment, and policy formulation.

John joined the Firm in 2006 after spending nearly 23 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and earned the Certified Public Accountant credential in 1987.

Educational Background

John graduated from Western New England College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree in Accounting. He most recently completed the Leading Change and Organizational Renewal Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School.

Professional Affiliations & Community Involvement

John is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He is also past Treasurer and Vice President of the Human Resources Association of Central Connecticut (HRACC), and past Treasurer of the Connecticut Human Resource Council. He currently serves as President of the CSCPA’s Board of Directors, where he previously held the offices of Treasurer and Secretary. Prior to his Board appointment, John served as past chair and member on a number of the Society’s committees, including its Human Resources, Strategic Planning and Governance Structure committees. Additionally, he serves on the Western New England College Accounting Department Advisory Board.

Over the years, he has received special recognition from the University of Connecticut, INROADS of Greater Hartford & Springfield, the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Dale Carnegie.
